I love photo manipulation, it's what got me into graphic design in the first place. I had a project wherein I had to choose a famous poster designer and replicate their style of work. I chose Gunter Rambow, a German designer from Frankfurt. “In Rambow’s designs, the medium of photography is manipulated, massaged, montaged, and airbrushed to convert the ordinary into the extraordinary. Everyday images are combined or dislocated, and then printed as straightforward, documentary, black-and-white images in an original metaphysical statement of poetry and profundity.” (Vital Source Textbook)

Another aspect of the project was to stick to a given theme based on a list of five words. 'Time' immediately jumped off that page and I had an idea to create a design that would be utilized by the UN climate change conference to draw attention to a pressing problem. "We are running out of time."
